‘THE BRAIN TUMOUR CHARITY’ 40 MILE ULTRA – LLANELLI – MARCH 30TH 2019
TERRAIN – TARMAC
CUT OFF – 10 HOURS
Just over a year ago my niece Alana, then 15, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. A year later and after a number of operations, including major brain surgery, we are all hoping that her problems are behind her. It was far from easy for Alana in her final year in school, or her family, but there are many more, as you know, who aren’t so lucky. Alana showed us all how to be strong in the face of adversity and is the inspiration behind this the first and last ‘The Brain Tumour Charity’ ultra.
The race will be approximately 40 miles and cost approximately £35. £5 of which shall go to the charity. For those that haven’t done one of our events before this can only be classed as an ‘easy’ 40 mile ultra, so if it is your first, you worry about getting lost, you need a good training run for bigger Spring/Summer goals or you just want to spend some time with great people in a great location this is the race for you. For those who have done our events please note the different HQ location. Same 40 miles, different direction. The hard part is last basically.
Sign up, bring your friends, let’s do our bit to prevent others having to go through what Alana and her family did, or at least making it as bearable as possible, and enjoy ourselves in the process. Please feel free to fundraise too by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the website to find out more about this amazing charity
